Teens Weightlifting
This class is specific for teenage youth lifters. The focus will be on the snatch, clean, jerk, and accessory lifts squat, deadlift and press.
The programming is designed to prepare athletes to excel at their sport. This class is individualized for each athlete and will run one hour in length. We encourage athletes to attend class even on game days but programming will be adjusted. For example, the volume will be cut and the focus will be put on the Central Nervous System to be game day prepared.
The focus in all of our classes will always be on technique before load.
Age group 13+ or with approval.
Because of the popularity of this class, I have a max class size of 12. Which means 6 lifters are going while the other 6 are resting.
We will take turns until we get through all the sets and reps.
2x per week
Two different sessions ( your lifter may chose just one session. Please text Mariana to tell her the spot you prefer. I can’t have kids bouncing between the two classes because then I can not manage class size)
Monday and Wednesday @ 6am-7am
Tuesday and Thursday @ 6am-7am
Additional Class on Friday for an extra $5 per class for anyone who would like a third day. There is a separate button for that under “Select a Program” This is VERY important for my lifters wanting to focus on Weightlifting as a sport. These will be the days we focus on meet day preparation and specialty Snatch and C&J Skills.
There will be no classes on major holidays- Christmas break-spring break. I pretty much run with the school schedule. If you are not familiar with it it is posted on sub1.org/
I will no longer hold spots for long breaks from class. I wish I could, but it is hard taking away a spot from kids that want in to the class.
